Perseverance

If we are brave enough to persevere life will reward us with serene abundance, different from the original enthusiasm, perhaps with less energy, but much more certain.

In life, as on the Camino, we tend to begin things with great enthusiasm; we tend to fall in love with people, studies, and jobs and have great hopes for these endeavors. Later, the moment of the plateau arrives when we experience the monotony of everyday life, when we face our own limitations, when we feel tired. But if we are brave enough to persevere, life will reward us with serene abundance, different from the original enthusiasm, perhaps with less energy, but much more certain.
